Handcrafted by Svaram in Auroville, the Resonating Sound Bed is a finely constructed sound healing bed, comparable in size to a massage table. Built with carefully selected woods (including teak, red cedar, and yellow wood) along with stainless steel strings, pins, and a wooden resonator, it carries fifty strings tuned to C4–G3–C3–G3–C4 at 431 Hz.
The recipient rests on the upper surface while the strings beneath are gently played. A rich spectrum of overtones unfolds through the resonator, enveloping the body and resonating through its layers. The vibrations engage the body’s natural vibrational nature, often inviting a state of heightened physical awareness, deep relaxation, and a lasting sense of balance and coherence.
